What is Myris?

A house for story, culture, craft, and legacy.

While Grenada is the company’s center of gravity, Myris also honors the broader Windward Island and Caribbean heritage carried through family, migration, memory, and return.

Inspired by Myristica fragrans, the scientific name of the nutmeg tree, Myris draws from one of Grenada’s most enduring symbols: nutmeg, the island’s “Black Gold.” Like the tree itself, The Myris Group is rooted in fertile ground, meant to bear fruit across generations, and designed to carry the fragrance of Grenadian creativity into the world.

This inaugural launch is the seed of something larger. As Myris House grows, we intend to identify, develop, publish, and champion exceptional Grenadian and Caribbean literary voices—building pathways for stories rooted in our culture to be professionally produced, owned, and carried into the world.
